2. five Boer War Stereoscope Cards:
(a) four are maker marked "Underwood & Underwood, Publishers - New York, London, Toronto-Canada, Ottawa-Kansas / Works and Sun Sculpture Studios, Arlington, N.J. Littleton N.H. Washington, D.C." (the four entitled: (i) "Fording the Modder with Army Supplies after passage was forced by French, Feb. 18.", (ii) "Loyal Colonials - New South Wales Mounted Rifles, bound for Natal, South Africa.", (iii) "South African Lighthorse, the best Rough Riders of the Colonial Army at De Aar.", (iv) "South African Light Horse ready for War, Cape Town, South Africa.").
(b) one is maker marked "Strohmeyer & Wyman, Publishers, New York, N.Y. / Sold only by Underwood & Underwood New York, London, Toronto Canada, Ottawa Kansas." (entitled: "Loyal to the Mother Country - Canadian Fighters for British Supremacy, Cape Town, S.A.").
Each features two black and white identical images, side-by-side, as prescribed that the stereoscopic viewer (not supplied), the images having faded to a sepia-toned look and mounted to a cardboard backer, the images copyrighted in 1900, two cards with info printed on the reverse, measuring 77 mm (w) x 88 mm (h) each, with clear and clean images.
