A group of eleven civilian and military medals, awards, and decorations, consisting of:
1. (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). A “Legion Condor” Black Grade Wound Badge, First Type, constructed of blackened tombac with very fine details, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel wreath with scalloped edges, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge, vertical round wire pinback, meeting a rightward-opening round wire catch, unmakred, measuring 37.2 mm (w) x 43.5 mm (l), weighing 12.78 grams, the normally upwardly curved Stahlhelm slightly dented in, with loss of finish from age and wear, in overall near very fine condition.
2. (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 37.0 mm (w) x 44.7 mm (l), weighing 11.61 grams, in extremely fine condition.
3. (Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz). A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback but missing the catch, unmarked, measuring 36.8 mm (w) x 44.5 mm (l), weighing 11.48 grams, with some loss of finish revealing the bronze core underneath, in better than fine condition.
4. (Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwerter). Instituted October 18th, 1939. (1939-1945 issue). A War Merit Cross 2. Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on a fixed loop and sivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “6” for Fritz Zimmermann of Stuttgart, measuring 49.3 mm (w) x 48.4 mm (l), weighing 24.27 grams, in overall better than very fine condition.
5. (Dienstauszeichnung für 25 Jahre). Constructed of silvered bronze, on a fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, with an oak leaf wreath in the quadrants between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central black enameled swastika, the reverse with a central inscription of “Für Treue Dienste” (For Faithful Service), unmarked, measuring 41.2 mm (w) x 41.3 mm (l), weighing 20.08 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
6. (DRL Sportabzeichen in Bronze). Instituted November 10, 1912. (c. 1930s). Constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, around central stylized initials “DRL”, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, the reverse maker marked “WERNSTEIN, JENA”, measuring 38.4 mm (w) x 48.1 mm (l), weighing 16.06 grams, in near very fine condition.
7. (Kriegsverdienstmedaille). Instituted August 19th, 1940. Constructed of bronze, on a fixed loop for suspension but missing its swivel ring, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription of “Für Kriegsverdienst 1939” (For War Merit 1939), unmarked, missing its ribbon, measuring 32.4 mm in diameter, weighing 12.36 grams, in near very fine condition.
8. (Kriegsgedenkmünze des Kyffhäuserbundes 1914/1918). A Commemorative War Medal of the Kyffhäuser Union 1914/1918, an oval bronze medal, on an integrated fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from its shortened sewn-on ribbon, the obverse inscribed “Blank die Wehr rein die Ehr” (To arms with honour intact), the reverse inscribed with a quote from Hindenburg and circumscribed “Für Treue im Weltkriege” (For Loyalty in the World War), unmarked, measuring 30.8 mm (w) x 46.9 mm (l), weighing 19.20 grams, in near very fine condition.
9. (Internationale Wörthersee-Sportwochenabzeichen 1939). A Group of two International Sportsweek in Wörthersee badges, consisting of a gilded bronze Winner badge and a silvered bronze Participator badge, the obverse consisting of a round oak wreath tied together at the base with ribbons featuring a runner holding a baton in the center, the reverse unmarked, with a horizontal pinback, measuring 51.5 mm (w) x 62.4 mm (l), weighing 29.23 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
10. (Luftwaffe Civildienstabzeichen). A Luftwaffe Civilian Employee Badge, Type II, constructed of silvered tombac, the obverse consisting of an open-ended oak wreath tied together at the base with a winged mobile swastika in the center, the reverse plain, with a functional horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 27.1 mm (w) x 17.8 mm (l), weighing 2.78 grams, with significant loss of finish through age and wear, in fine condition.
