A Great War Submariner's Group of Four to the Royal Navy - 1914-15 Star (K. 13625, W.C. HOOPER, STO. 1., R.N.); British War Medal (K. 13625 W.C. HOOPER. STO. 1 R.N.); Victory Medal (K. 13625 W.C. HOOPER. STO. 1 R.N.); and Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, George V.R. (K. 13625 W.C. HOOPER. A/MECH. H.M.S. CONCORD.). Naming is officially impressed. Court-mounted, contact, edge nicks, cleaned, fine. Footnote: William Charles Hooper enlisted for service in the Royal Navy in 1912 at the Devonport base ship, HMS Vivid. He was later transferred to HMS Dolphin in October 1916, the Royal Navy shore establishment at Gosport and home to the submarine service. He served aboard H1, H2, H33 until 1922 and awarded the WWI trio for his service during the Great War. Post-war, he was at HMS Concord and was discharged from service in 1925, awarded the RNLSGCM.
