British War Medal (490503 PTE. W.A. WOOLLS. CAN. PNR. BN.); and Victory Medal (490503 PTE. W.A. WOOLLS. CAN. PNR. BN.). Naming is officially impressed. Crisp detail, dark patina on the BWM, light contact, unmounted, better than very fine. Footnote: Walter Aubrey Woolls was born on May 10, 1889 in Bisley, Gloucester, England. He signed his Attestation Paper on April 26, 1916 with the 1st Overseas Canadian Pioneeer Detachment (Vancouver Pioneer Company) in Nelson, British Columbia, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was married to Annie Woolls of Nelson and that his trade was that of Locomotive Engineer.
