Footnote: Arthur William Gammon was born on April 14, 1888 in Maidstone, Kent, England. He signed his Attestation Paper with the 5th Field Ambulance on February 9, 1915 in Toronto, Ontario, naming his next-of-kin as his mother, Edith Minnie Gammon of Maidstone, stating that he had three weeks previous military service with the 11th Field Ambulance and four years with the Territorials, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Florist.
