Victorian Era Miniatures TO Lieut.-Colonel J.M. Delamere -  Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration, Victoria (silver gilt, hallmarked with the British lion, an anchor (made in Birmingham) and marked with an "E" inside a leaf, 16.7 mm x 26 mm); Canada General Service Medal, 1 Clasp - FENIAN RAID 1870 (silver, 17.8 mm); and North West Canada Medal (silver, engraved "CAPt & ADJT. J.M. DELAMERE" on the edge, 17.5 mm). Naming is engraved on the NWCM. Mounted to a suspension with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, original ribbons, dark patina on the NWCM, extremely fine.   Footnote: Lieutenant-Colonel J.M. Delamere, Queen's Own Rifles, served with the 2nd Battalion Q.O.R. during the Fenian Raids of 1870 and is listed on page 61 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen. He also served as a Captain and Adjutant with the 2nd Battalion, Q.O.R. during the Northwest Canada campaign of 1885.
