The Wehrpass to Senior Master Sentinel; Hungarian Cross - 52 pages, very fine. Footnote: Born January 21st, 1895 in the Koenigsberg region to a protestant family. He was married at the time of issue of his Wehrpass on September 18th, 1936. He began his military career on October 3rd, 1911 with the Koenigsberg 2. Company logistics division, where he stayed until 1923. He retired with the rank of Senior Master Sentinel (Oberwachtmeister.) He was trained in the use of the Mauser type 98 rifle. July 10th, 1913 he was promoted to lance corporal (Gefreiter.) November 1st, 1913 he was promoted to the rank of sergeant. November 1st of 1918 he was promoted to sentinel and on April 1st 1920 to Senior Master Sentinel. These entries were confirmed and stamped on October 27th, 1936. Starting August 2nd, 1914 until February 17th, 1917, he served on the Eastern Front. From February 18th, 1917 he was moved to the Western Front until the end of the war. He earned an Iron Cross II. Class on May 23rd, 1916, a Long Service Medal II. Class on January 19th, 1921, a Cross of Honour for Front Line Soldiers on March 4th, 1935, and a Hungarian Cross on December 20th, 1935. He left the army on October 2nd, 1923 with the rank of Senior Master Sentinel from the Koenigsberg region. The reason given is the expiration of his 12 year term of service. He was in good health. On September 18th, 1936 he was placed with the first reserves of the Wehrmacht regional militia.
