Five-piece construction, in silver with blue and white enamels, unmarked, the central insignia with blue Saltire Cross surmounted by the Franco crown (Imperial crown), measuring 69.3 mm (w) x 71 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, insignia bearing the Spanish coat-of-arms in bronze gilt affixed to the lid, royal blue pebbled exterior, inside lid in white satin, padded and maker marked "CONDECORACIONES JOYERÍA CEJALVO Cruz 5 - MADRID", base with a medal bed in royal blue felt and slotted for the breast star, measuring 108.5 mm (w) x 108.5 mm (h) x 31.5 mm (h), wear and scuffing evident on the exterior, the insignia on the lid exhibiting gilt wear, case better than very fine.
