In gilt white metal with red, green and blue enamels, unmarked, gilt cypher of Carol I on the obverse, 41 mm (w) x 62.3 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, large rosette on its original ribbon with hook and eye, intact enamels, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Star of Romania is Romania's highest civil Order and second highest State decoration after the defunct Order of Michael the Brave. It was originally awarded in six grades: Grand Cross with Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
