Military Division, Type I (1916-1932) In silver with red and white enamels, royal crown on the obverse centrepiece, unmarked, measuring 79.5 mm (w) x 79.8 mm (h), vertical pinback flanked by dual stays, very light crazing evident in the white enamels on the centrepiece ring, otherwise the enamels are intact, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Crown of Romania is a chivalric order established on March 14, 1881 by King Carol I of Romania, to commemorate the establishment of the Kingdom of Romania. It was awarded as a state order until the end of the Romanian monarchy in 1947 and was revived on December 30, 2011 as a dynastic order. The order had five classes: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
