In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
Hardcover, black cloth exterior, the embossed image of the First Rifle Regiment of Finland (Russian manned) on the front cover, along with the text on the front cover and the spine in a gold-coloured ink, entitled "Badges of Imperial Russia: Military, Civil, Religious", by Serge Andolenko, translated, edited and enlarged by Robert Werlich, copyrighted in 1972, Limited Edition of 500 copies, published by Quaker Press of Washington, D.C., printed in the United States of America. The book illustrates multiple badges, used by various military organizations, civil organizations and religious institutions. Each listing is designated as "Fig." (Figure) with a number, stating the badge's official name, its date of institution, the eligibility for the awarding of the badge, along with a basic description of the structure and components of the badge, some mentioning metal contact. Diameters and dimensions are not stated in the book, as the vast majority of badges were made by various jewellers, at various times, to different specifications. It begins with a Table of Contents Listing the Coded Images (Figures) in the Book, followed by a List of Definitions and Russian Rulers, along with a Preface. The book is divided into three sections: 1. Military (including: Imperial Guard, Military Academies, Officers Schools and Courses and Military Schools, Infantry (including: Infantry Grenadiers, Regular Infantry Regiments), Reserve Units, Rifle Regiments, Cavalry, Cossack Troops, Artillery, Engineering Corps, Fortresses & Fortress Troops (including: Miscellaneous Military, Miscellaneous); 2. Civil (Universities, Academies, Institutes, and Schools, Societies, Organizations & Clubs, Welfare Agencies (including: Imperial Red Cross); 3. Religious Badges. The book contains 212 pages, the text printed in black ink, with most of the images in black, although there are eight pages (9 to 16) with colour images featuring random select awards also illustrated later in the body of the book in black and white, on a thick semi-coated white paper stock, with a "RE D/72" notation within a circular rule in blue ink on the front cover endpaper, measuring 217 mm (w) x 285 mm (h) x 23.5 mm (d). It exhibits a laminated-like finish on the exterior due to having had a plasticized dust jacket offset upon the black cloth, along with foxing on the top of the pages, the pages unaffected. Better than very fine.
Reference Guide Shipping Policy: An additional shipping charge may be applicable following the time of purchase due to size, weight, and quantity. Please note that books cannot be shipped via Canada Post Flat Tracked method.
