This is an extremely well-preserved edition of “The Complete Collector’s Guide to the Identification of Colt Percussion Accoutrements 1834-1873”, by Robin J. Rapley. The book is constructed of a glossed card stock binding, with the exterior cover bearing a full-colour image of a cased Colt revolver, circumscribed by author and title. The reverse features a full-colour image of a cased Colt revolving rifle, below a brief summary of the book’s contents. The interior content consists of 432 white paper pages featuring a detailed and extensive study of the components of mid-19th century Colt firearms, supplemented in each case by black-and-white diagram photographs. Each item is also accompanied by its market value at the time of writing. Notably, it is also autographed by Rapley on the interior title page. The book was published in 1994 by Graphic Publishers of Newport Beach, California. It measures 152 mm (w) x 228 mm (h), and is in an overall extremely fine condition.
