The interior features a 35 mm wide leather sweat band and red silk interior with plastic covering the makers label denoting manufacturer by HUBERT \u0026amp; JOHNSON of London, measuring 54 cm  for the interior circumference. The beret features light wear around the exterior, notable mold\/residue on the leather sweatband, and a loss of feathers to the hackle. Very fine. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFootnote: The Astrakhan No.1 Dress Beret was authorized in 1961 for wear by officers. However, a few years after its introduction, it became an undesirable element of the uniform by the men.
