Constructed of gilded silver with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross with white enameled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse overlaid by a central white enameled medallion bearing a gilt profile of Duke Albert III, surrounded by a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of “ALBERTUS ANIMOSUS” (“ALBERT THE BOLD”), the reverse overlaid by a white enameled medallion bearing a gilded and enameled Saxon coat of arms, surrounded by a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt institution date of “1850”, the o’clock arm stamped with an illegible maker’s logo, measuring 35.94 mm (w) x 46.52 mm (h), weighing 19.3 grams, demonstrating flecking to the enamels, with a deterioration to the left side of the obverse medallion, in addition to loss of gilt finish to the base metal, in very fine condition. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"eMedals","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50233286983957,"sku":"G64369","price":200.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0713\/9105\/2053\/files\/eMedals_G64369_2.jpg?v=1792177845","url":"https:\/\/www.emedals.com\/products\/saxony-kingdom-an-albert-order-ii-class-knights-cross-with-swords-g64369","provider":"eMedals","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
