Constructed of gilded bronze with silver consisting of bronze base embroidered with a period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a silver Saxon coat of arms, situated within a gilded bronze frame featuring a fireman’s helmet and equipment flanked by laurel and oak leaves, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42 mm (w) x 34 mm (h), accompanied by its original presentation case, constructed of a pressed card stock frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the interior with a white satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, the former maker marked “G.A.
