Grand Cross Badge: in silver gilt with blue and white enamels, unmarked, measuring 43.7 mm (w) x 83.3 mm (h), on its original full-length sash that incorporates a decorative moiré pattern; and Breast Star: cross insignia in silver gilt with blue and white enamels, mounted to an eight-pointed silver star base, each star point with three faceted rays and four standard rays, with a single faceted ray between each star point, Danish national assay marked with the three towers above \"39\" (the silver standard established in 1939) guaranteeing silver purity of .925, Danish assay master marked Christian Frederik Heise (1904-1932), maker marked \"A.M.\" surmounted by a crown (Anton Michelsen of Copenhagen, Denmark) and marked \"925\" (silver) on the reverse, measuring 83.2 mm (w) x 83.2 mm (h), dual prong vertical pinback. Intact enamels, extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, deep red pebbled papered exterior, wooden-framed, inside lid in white satin and padded, base with a raised platform in black felt and incorporating recessed medal beds for the Badge and Breast Star, clasp closure, measuring 190 mm (w) x 290 mm (h) x 77.5 mm (d), exhibiting scuffing and wear on the exterior, the interior pristine, case very fine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFootnote: The Icelandic Order of the Falcon was instituted on July 3, 1921 by King Christian X of Denmark and Iceland.
