Constructed of gilded and silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms and with a circular oak leaf wreath joining the quadrants, the obverse bearing a central black swastika, with the 12 o’clock arm bearing a raised number “12”, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 41.34 mm (w) x 46.09 mm (h), weighing 22.2 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a card stock frame with a faux red leather exterior liner, the lid bearing a gilt wreathed number “50”, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted maroon felt medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, the lid liner maker marked “DESCHLER \u0026amp; SOHN, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 48 mm (w) x 102 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), in extremely fine condition; accompanied by a Feldpost letter, addressed to Paul Jähne and dated December 1941, indicating that a relative named Ernst Jähne has received the accompanying decoration in recognition of 50 years of service to the firm of Gustav Paul, measuring 210 mm (w) x 298 mm (h), retaining a Feldpost envelope posted on 8 January 1942, measuring 162 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), with a small tear evident to the upper right corner of the letter, in near extremely fine condition.","brand":"eMedals","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46132822409493,"sku":"G50090","price":405.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0713\/9105\/2053\/files\/076_m21_mnc9651.jpg?v=1692902730","url":"https:\/\/www.emedals.com\/products\/germany-third-reich-a-civil-service-50-year-long-service-decoration-with-case-and-dedication-letter-by-deschler-sohn-g50090","provider":"eMedals","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
