A very well-preserved NSDAP service tunic for an Orts-level Stützpunktleiter, constructed of brown wool cloth with a subtle whipcord weave. It features a turned down collar which is trimmed with blue piping and reinforced on the reverse with a layer of light brown wool, in turn showing an array of machine-stitched darts. The collar is flanked by tabs which are constructed of brown wool with buckram cores, trimmed with brown piping, overlaid by gold bullion wire insignia, and which measure 40 mm (w) x 65 mm (l). The cuff of each sleeve is rolled up to a depth of 12 cm, and remains in place without added stitching. Four pockets are set into the breasts, with the top pockets pleated, all closing with horizontal flaps perforated with reinforced buttonholes meeting gilded metal buttons, in turn bearing raised NSDAP-style German national eagles clutching swastikas. Pinned onto the top left button is an NSDAP membership badge, measuring 23 mm in diameter and marked on the reverse with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1\/155” for Schwertner \u0026amp; Cie, Eggenberg bei Graz. A vertical slash set into the lower back is topped by two gilded metal belt hooks, similarly decorated with NSDAP eagles. The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece golden-brown rayon liner which transitions into grey through the arms. A single interior pocket is set into the upper left breast, opening to reveal a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) label, correctly issued for the Political Leader service tunic, bearing a handwritten manufacturer’s code of “D5\/12608”. The tunic measures approximately 43 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 60 cm, and an overall length of 70 cm (when folded on a flat surface). Minor material fatigue is visible throughout the base cloth, and the upper left arm demonstrates evidence of the removal of a Political Leader’s armband, with consequence disruption.
