Constructed of iron and silver, consisting of a vaulted Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with a central threaded screwpost retaining a matching cruciform silver backplate and silver nut, the cross and nut stamped with silver content marks of “900”, with the latter bearing the logo of Paul Meybauer, Berlin, while the backplate is stamped with a silver content number of “800”, measuring 42.09 mm (w) x 42.28 mm (h), weighing 27.7 grams (inclusive of all fixtures), demonstrating some loss of finish to the core resulting in surface oxidation, in addition to some stripping of the screwpost which rendered the backplate loose, in very fine condition. \u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"eMedals","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50062868775189,"sku":"G63689","price":300.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0713\/9105\/2053\/files\/eMedals_G63689_2.jpg?v=1786390352","url":"https:\/\/www.emedals.com\/products\/germany-imperial-a-1914-iron-cross-i-class-screwback-variant-by-paul-meybauer-g63689","provider":"eMedals","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
