Constructed of patinated bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consists of a circular laurel leaf wreath surrounding a white enameled disc, bearing a raised German national eagle clutching a cogwheel defaced by an enameled HJ insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “KREISSIEGER 1939” (“DISTRICT CHAMPION 1939”). It was marked, but the marking has been erased. The award, however, exhibits features of the maker “H. AURICH, DRESDEN A. 16”. It measures 49.4 mm (w) x 48.2 mm (h), weighing 26.0 grams. The badge exhibits a minor enamel repair on obverse next to \"19\" and below the eagle's talons; and erasure of the maker's name on the reverse.
