Constructed of heavy pressed paper, with a red faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior was previously embossed but is now denazified; lined interior lid; embossed “Orden vom Deutschen Adler Verdienstkreuz 3. Stufe” in golden lettering;  black recessed medal bed; functional front clasp for closure; severed interior fabric hinge cover; functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 85 mm (w) x 126 mm (h); light chip on the reverse twelve o’clock arm; in overall extremely fine condition.
