The latter is marked R.C.A.F. STANDARD PARACHUTE  TYPE: SEAT, QUICK-RELEASE M’F’G NO.: S 17763 DATE:  AUG 31 1942 on the back. The canopy is inside the bag but has not been opened in order to protect the integrity of the stitching. A scarce piece of aviation history, exhibiting minimal wear with great visible markings, in very fine condition. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eInclusive of its carrying bag of khaki construction, a small section of zipper is torn away from the edge, exhibiting wear and several holes, handles intact, remains in very fine condition. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFootnote: This type of parachute was used extensively in training and combat during the Second War.
