He was a single book-keeper, living in Toronto, when he enlisted with the 1st Depot Battalion, on June 25, 1918. \u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003eHe proceeded to England in August 1918 via the SS Corsican, and served with the 4th battalion in France as of November 6, 1918.
