He was residing in Toronto with his wife, and working as a clerk prior to the war. He had served for four years in the Queen’s Own as a private, and 18 years in the 48th Highlanders as a quartermaster sergeant. Anderson enlisted with the 92nd Battalion on August 25, 1915. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eOverseas, he served with the 92nd Battalion, 75th Battalion and 1st Central Ontario Regimental Depot. In mid June 1917, Lieutenant Anderson suffered from shell gas at LaCoulette.
