The crown and frontward facing sides feature well preserved silver\/aluminum braiding. The front of the cap has a machine woven Army eagle, constructed of silvery threads with Wehrmacht green rayon backing. It also features a tri-colour (black-silver-red) bullion national cockade and a black Waffenfarbe soutache, indicating Pioneer branch of the Heer (Army). The interior of the cap is fully lined in olive-drab coloured rayon, with a leather forehead sweatband at the front section of the cap. It is marked by hand on right side of the interior.
