What's a max bid?

Footnote: Private Henry James Norrish enlisted on October 13, 1941 and served overseas with the Australian Army Canteens Service, New Guinea Detachment, as part of the Australian Imperial Forces during the Second World War. After four years & two and a half months service, he was discharged on January 2, 1946.
