Australia Active Service Medal 1945-1975 with Vietnam Clasp (3797418 G.P. LEARY); Vietnam Medal (3797418 G.P.J. LEAHY); Australian Defence Medal (3797418 G P LEAHY); Anniversary of National Service Medal 1951-1972 (3797418 G.P. LEAHY); and Republic of Vietnam: South Vietnam Campaign Medal (3797418 G.P.J. LEAHY). Naming is pantographed on the AASM, ADM and ANSM, impressed on the VM and engraved on the SVCM. Court-mounted with swing bar pinback, as worn by the veteran, intact enamels, original ribbons, extremely fine. Accompanied by two research papers.

 

Footnote: Gavan Patrick Joseph Leahy became a Private (3797418) in the Royal Australian Infantry Corps. He served from July 30, 1970 to September 9, 1970 in 1 Australian Reinforcement Unit, which was followed by his service in the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment from September 10, 1970 to June 1, 1971, his service with the two regiments totaling 307 days.
