What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

A Korean Veterans Association Plaque to Brigadier General R. E. Peters - Two-piece silvered bronze Korean Veterans Association insignia above a bronze open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, brass name plate below the wreath inscribed "Brig. Gen. Robert E. Peters / Commanding General The 7th Logistical Command / United States Army / HONORARY PLAQUE / Vice Admiral (ret) Lee, Song Ho / President / The korean Vterans Association / Seoul, Korea / May 21, 1964" affixed to the plaque via five brass nails, the word "korean" without a capital "K" and "Veterans" spelled without the first "e", the items mounted to a 20 mm thick brown lacquered wood plaque, measuring 188 mm x 250 mm, a wire suspended between two loops for wall-hanging on the reverse, two chips in the wood towards the tips of the wreath, light contact and surface wear, better than very fine. Footnote: Robert E. Peters was born on July 10, 1912. He graduated with a BA from the University of California in 1934 and was admitted to the United States Army from California, trained with E - Command and at the General Staff College. In 1935, he was elevated to 2nd Lieutenant with the Ordnance Reserve, D/R on July 10, 1940, promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on May 13, 1944, to Colonel AUS on August 21, 1945, and as RA 1st Lieutenant with the Ordnance Department on July 22, 1946. Fourteen years after graduating from the University of California, he graduated with an MBA from the University of Maryland in 1949. He was promoted to Colonel on March 18, 1953, and later, to Brigadier General, and is credited with having served in the Second World War, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Brigadier General was awarded the Army Distinguished Service Medal on August 27, 1965, for actions during the Vietnam War between April 1961 and July 1965: "The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Brigadier General Robert E. Peters (ASN: 0-31646), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility, during the period from April 1961 to July 1965.", Department of the Army, General Orders No. 29 (August 27, 1965). He was also awarded the Bronze Star and the Commendation Ribbon. Peters died on March 14, 2007 in Sun City, Arizona, at the age of 94 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
