SAURIOL) Naming is engraved; Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Service Medal, reverse, Awarded by: with “Mission Dist. B.C. to Chief F.J.W.  Sauriol 1960 number 940” engraved below; Corresponding pair of miniature medals, extremely fine.  Francis Joseph Woodrow Sauriol was born on 1st February 1918 in Chapeau, Quebec. He joined the force on 24th February 1940, was promoted to Corporal on 1st October 1949 and to Sergeant on 1st November 1957. He retired on 24th February 1949 and died in Kamloops, BC on 22nd January 1994.
