A Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal to Quartermaster & Honorary Major David Robertson

A Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal to Quartermaster & Honorary Major David Robertson, 32nd Regiment : Victoria (Q.M. & HON. MAJOR, D. ROBERTSON 32nd REGIMENT). Naming is officially impressed. Original ribbon, some correction to “ 2nd REGI “ in naming, edge nicks, streaking, very fine.

Footnote: David Robertson was born in 1857. He was awarded the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service Medal by G.O. 37 in 1903, but the Pallas reference book shows him in the 33rd Regiment. However, the Militia List of 1890 shows him as that rank in the 32nd “Bruce” Battalion of Infantry, No. 7 Company, Mildmay. The Militia List shows him as retired on May 11, 1893 in the 32nd Regiment. Robertson died in 1949.
