Gold-plated bronze, 32 mm, original ribbon, near mint. In its cardboard box of issue, ERII cypher framed my a half-wreath of maple leaves with "50" at its base, light soiling evident on the lid, box very fine.

Footnote: The medal was awarded to Canadians who have made a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, their community or to Canada on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession to the throne as Queen of Canada. The recipients were selected by a number of partner organizations in every field of Canadian Life. Approximately 46,000 medals were awarded including approximately 9,000 to the military. The Canadian Forces awarded its 9,000 medals proportionately through its ranks according to an automatic formula based on the component, service, rank, trade and length of service every member of the Canadian Forces.
