What's a max bid?

Fenian Raid Pair, Sergeant/Lieutenant/Major William Mories Baillie, 14th Battalion "Princess of Wales' Own Regiment", 47th "Frontenac" Battalion of Infantry; Canada General Service Medal, 2 Clasps - 1866, 1870 (Sgt. W. M. Baillie, 14th P.W.O.R.); and Colonial Auxilliary Forces Officers' Decoration, Victoria (MAJOR W.M. BAILLIE 47th REGIMENT.), silver gilt, maker marked "SG" (Sebastian Garrard), hallmarked with the British lion, a leopard's head (made in London) and date marked "f" (1901) on the reverse. Naming is officially impressed on the CGSM and officially engraved on CAFOD. Board mounted, very light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: William Mories Baillie is shown on the roll of the 247 man 14th Battalion "Princess of Wales' Own Regiment" and is listed on page 86 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen. In the rank of Sergeant, he received the medal with 1866 clasp while with the 14th Battalion "Princess of Wales' Own Regiment", his records indicating he was at Cornwall from June 2 to 22, 1866, with an "Attack expected". In the rank of Lieutenant, he received the 1870 clasp to the medal while with 47th "Frontenac" Battalion of Infantry, his records indicating he was at Kingston from May 25 to 28, 1870, with an "Attack expected". Lieutenant Baillie was with the 47th "Frontenac" Battalion of Infantry when he was promoted to Major, the announcement appearing in the Canada Gazette of Saturday, January 4, 1890, page 2218: "Captain and Brevet Major William Mories Baillie, G.S.I., from the Adjutancy, vice G.H. Hunter", later receiving the Colonial Auxilliary Forces Officers' Decoration, Victoria. (C:14)
