Most Excellent Order of the British Empire

The Order of St. Michael and St. George; Grand Cross Collar; Silver gilt with white enamels, front and back with two facing winged lions of St. Mark, each lion holding a book and seven arrows, the front pair with the Royal crown above, the chain with Maltese crosses in white, standing lions with raised left front paws and the cyphers "SM" (St. Michael) and "SG" (St. George), all insignia held together via flat rectangular chain links, two loops and suspension ring on the reverse of the front crowned lions, chain measuring 380 mm in diameter, white enamel repair evident on two Maltese crosses, near extremely fine. In its oval hardshelled case of issue, marked "G.C.M.G." on the lid, maker marked "GARRARD & Co. Ltd." on the inside lid, recessed medal bed with "c-shaped" satin insert, raised velvet platform in the centre, hook closure, light wear, case also near extremely fine.

Silver gilt with red and light blue enamels, unmarked, 62.5 mm x 80.8 mm, on an original full-length neck ribbon with hook and eye, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "C.B.E." on the lid, maker marked "GARRARD & Co. Ltd." on the inside lid, soiled recessed medal bed, fraying in the fabric overlaying the hinged area, scuffed exterior, side panel on the base coming away along the top edge, case fair.

Order of St. John Pair, Serving Brother Breast Badge and Serving Sister Shoulder Badge - Serving Brother Breast Badge, Flush Design, 1974-1984 (silver and enamels, 38.5 mm, without ring and ribbon, wear in two areas on the rim); and Serving Sister Shoulder Badge (frosted silver, 39.8 mm, on original bow-tied ribbon with pinback, discolouration on the tip of lower reverse arm). Very fine.

A Great George Collar Badge to the Order of the Garter; Of unrivaled quality in silver gilt and enamels, of European manufacture (most likely Austrian), the modeling and enamels of generally very fine quality, horses tail and base stamped with "A" (most likely Viennese silver hallmark), along with makers stamp (obscured, possibly "PL" or "FL" ?), height 94 mm (to top of suspension loop), weighs approximately 112 grams, considerable evidence of wear, very small enamel chipped or flaked in places, and with some minor enamel restoration, in very fine condition overall.
