Knight's Cross Winner - Post War Original

In die stamped nickel plated bronze, 28mm, with narrow ribbon, in extremely fine condition; scarce in this size.

Prussia: Iron Cross 2nd Class 1914 (silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, maker marked "K.M." (Königliche Muenzamt, Stuttgart) on the ring, 43.5 mm); Hesse: General Honour Decoration, Type III (1894-1918) (silver, 33.3 mm); and Imperial: Hindenburg Cross for Combatants (iron with a bronze-coloured gilt, magnetic, maker marked "G7" (unknown) on the reverse, 37.7 mm). Original ribbons, mounted to a trapezoid-shaped suspension, bubbling on the arms of the IC, scattered surface rust evident on the HC, near extremely fine. Accompanied by their Ribbon Bar (original ribbons, crossed bronze swords on the HC ribbon, 12 mm x 45.5 mm, pinback). (C:102)

Cross in black wool, bordered by silvery-white thread, inner black cross and outer edges framed by twisted silvered wire, exquisitely made, of highest quality, approximately 43.3x43.5mm, appears unworn, near mint condition. Rare.

Belgium; In finely toned silver and of four-piece construction with a blue, white and black enamelled cross, mounted to a silver five-pointed star base, unmarked, measuring 81.3 mm x 82.5 mm, vertical pinback flanked by dual prongs, intact enamels, extremely fine.
