War Medal 1914-18 (851060 PTE. P.SHERIFF. 3-CAN. INF.); Victory Medal, (851060 PTE. P.SHERIFF. 3-CAN. INF), near very fine. Accompanied by full service records from the National Archives of Canada. Footnote: Peter Sheriff was born on July 16 1892 in Edinborough, Ontario (On medical history sheet it states POB as Edinburgh, Scot.). Upon the date of his enlistment, January 10th 1917, he worked as a Rubber worker and was married to Katherine Sheriff, living in Port Dalhousie, Ontario. Peter arrived in England in May 1917 aboard SS.Olympic, was transferred to the 3rd Overseas Battalion in September 1917, and was listed as Killed in Action September 27 1918. Peter Sheriff is buried at SAINS-LES-MARQUION BRITISH CEMETERY, Pas de Calais, France.
