Spanish Civil War Commemorative Medal 1936-66 - Issued by City of Zagreb; in silvered bronze, 70mm, heavy and well made, by IKOM, Zagreb; in blue case of issue, in near mint condition. According to official records 1660 Volunteers from Kingdom of Yugoslavia participated in Spanish Civil War, while about 150 of them were from Croatian capital Zagreb. In 1966 City of Zagreb struck and awarded about 120 of these medals to living recipients or to their families; very rare medal.
