In silver gilt, of fine quality, unmarked but known to have been made by C.F. Rothe, Vienna, the badge with a four-piece construction that includes two white and blue enamelled miniature Orders of St. Sylvester, one on the shield and another smaller one on the knight's breast, the badge measuring 37.5 mm x 45 mm with a slider on its reverse, the chain consisting of fourteen links, six representing the Order of St. Sylvester and eight representing the Order of the Golden Spur, each of the links measuring 29 mm x 44 mm and joined by chain links incorporating a cross, a 23.5 mm circular clasp marked "SS" on the right end and insert tab for the clasp on the left end, the collar chain measuring 900 mm in length, the badge with scattered gilt wear and contact, along with crazing evident in the enamels on the larger Order and enamel loss on the smaller Order, near extremely fine.
