A Swedish Order of the Sword; Grand Cross Set - Named to Air Force Section Chief Jan A. Oterdahl, 1971, Grand Cross (gold and enamels, 54 mm x 77.8 mm inclusive of its crown suspension, excellent quality manufacture, on original full-length sash); and Breast Star (silver and light blue enamels, 82 mm x 83.5 mm, vertical pinback, enamel chipping on the enamels). Better than extremely fine and very fine, respectively. In hardshelled case of issue, maker marked "C.F. CARLMAN STOCKHOLM" on the inside lid, raised breast star medal bed, light contact, case better than very fine. Accompanied by their award document (dated June 5, 1971) and seven photocopies of newspaper articles (one of his 1939 crash, others of him as a younger pilot and an older officer). Footnote: Jan A. Oterdahl was Wing Commander of F21 Norrbotten Air Force Wing from 1965 to 1966.
