Type I (1877-1932) In bronze gilt with red and white enamels, the crown on the obverse centerpiece in silver, measuring 59.8 mm (w) x 59.8 mm (h), scattered spotting present on the obverse, the edge and the loop, along with residue evident on the enamelled arms on both sides, however, the enamels are intact, the obverse centrepiece slightly loose, on a replacement full-length neck ribbon, very fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Crown of Romania was instituted on March 14, 1881 and amended on May 9, 1932. It was awarded for conspicuous and special merit, in five grades: Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight.
