Your contract will be automatically cancelled and ordered merchandise will be returned to inventory if full payment is not submitted by the three (3) month deadline.

What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

First postcard illustrates an attack by Italian soldiers at the Battle of Amba Allagi in Ethiopia in May 1941, as part of the East Africa Campaign on the obverse, with the artist's signature "A. Pouri" at the lower left, with Prince Amedeo, Duke of Aosta featured at the right, reverse stamped in faded blue ink "123o AUTOGRUPPO PESANTE", "82a Autoreparto" and "VISTO PER CENSURA", handwritten inscription in black ink and dated April 18, 1942, marked "A cure dello Stato Maggiore R. Esercito . Ufficio Propaganda R. E." and tagged "L'EROICA DIFESA DELL'AMBA ALAGI" (The Heroic Defence of Alagi), marked "CARTOLINA POSTALE PER LE FORZE ARMATE" (Armed Forces Postcard) flanked by a shield bearing the Italian coat-of-arms on the left side and a shield inscribed "ESENTE DA TASSA PER L'ITALIA E SUE COLONIE" (Free of Charge Italy and Its Colonies) on the right side, printer marked "S. A. GRAFITALIA gia PIZZI & PIZIO. MILANO . CORSO ROMA, 121 . 9.1941.XIX", postmarked "POSTA MILITARE" (Military Post) and dated April 19, 1942, 105 mm x 148 mm. Second postcard illustrates two Italian soldiers in the foreground, with a town in ruins in front of them, one bearing a flag, the other bearing a knife, in front of them standing upon the ruins is a hideous beast-like man, holding a torch in his right hand and a hammer and sickle in his left hand, representative of Bolshevism, with the artist's signature "boccasile" (Gino Boccasile: July 14, 1901 - May 10, 1952) at the lower right, inscribed "UN SOLO PERICOLO MINACCIA LA NOSTRA CULTURA, LA NOSTRA INTEGRITA E LA NOSTRA CIVILTA; E QUESTO PERICOLO E IL BOLSCEVISMO. / Dall'Intervista concessa all'inviato speciale del "VOLKISCHER BEOBACHTER" Roland Strunk - 18-Gennaio-1937-XV" (One Danger Threatens Our Culture, Our Integrity and Our Civilization; and this Danger is Bolshevism; From the Interview Granted the Special Envoy of the "National Observer" Roland Strunk, January 18, 1937 - XV), with "Mussolini" at the lower right, reverse marked "PARTITO NAZIONALE FASCISTA / DIRETTORIO NAZIONALE / UFFICIO COMBATTENTI / A CURA DEL SERVIZIO FORZE ARMATE DELL'O. N. D." (National Fascist Party / National Directory / Soldier's Office / By the Armed Forces Service National Recreational Club) with the Fascist National Party (PNF) insignia at the left and the National Recreational Club (OND) insignia at the right, marked "CARTOLINA POSTALE PER LE FORZE ARMATE" (Armed Forces Postcard) flanked by a shield bearing the Italian coat-of-arms on the left side and a shield inscribed "ESENTE DA TASSA PER L'ITALIA E SUE COLONIE" (Free of Charge Italy and Its Colonies) on the right side, printer marked "Creazioni ACTA - Milano - Rip. vielala", unused without inscriptions, 105 mm x 148 mm. Both postcards are printed in four-colour inks on the obverse and black inks on the reverse, on a card stock, near extremely fine.
