Medaglia per le guardie d'onore alle tombe di Re Vittorio Emanuele II e Umbert I. Instituted in 1920. Type II. In silver, engraver marked "S.J." (Stefano Johnson) on the obverse, hallmarked on the edge, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, light contact, frayed original ribbon, better than very fine.
Footnote: The medal was instituted on August 14, 1920 by Ministerial circular number 721 and awarded to the survivors of the war campaigns who mounted guard at the tombs of the Kings in the Pantheon.
