In silver, three-piece construction, the top piece composed of two pieces, illustrating St. Andrew (the patron saint of the Order and of Scotland) backed by a cross and surrounded by a wreath composed of thistles and ornate leafing, name engraved "E H WILSON" on the reverse of St. Andrew, the top piece secured in place to a donut-shaped base via five pins and engraved with a series of ornate swirls on its obverse, the reverse maker marked "R. & H.B. KIRKWOOD / 66 & 68 THISTLE ST. / EDINR." and Edinburgh City hallmarked, measuring 97.2 mm in diameter, with horizontal swing bar pinback, very dark patina, extremely fine.
