In white metal, obverse illustrating the crossed flags of the Royal Navy and Great Britain, with a shield dated "31 MAY 1916" and backed by a trident between the flags, surrounded by the inscription "TO THE GLORIOUS MEMORY OF THOSE WHO FELL THAT DAY", reverse inscribed "MAY 31, 1916 / THE GERMAN FLEET ATTACKED OFF THE COAST OF JUTLAND AND DRIVEN BACK INTO PORT WITH HEAVY LOSS. / ADMIRAL SIR JOHN JELLICOE, COMMANDER IN CHIEF, VICE ADMIRAL SIR DAVID BEATTY, COMMANDING BATTLE CRUISER FLEET.", within an open-ended wreath of oak leaves and acorns, measuring 45 mm in diameter, edge nicks, bruised, contact marks, near very fine.
