Of multi-piece construction; a Maltese cross in silver gilt with white enameled arms, along with four national eagles “Hoheitszeichen” between the arms of the cross, with crossed swords superimposed on the cross; the reverse with a vertical pinback, with a barrel hinge and a broad catch; marked “900” for silver content, and “21” for “Gebrüder Godet & Co., Berlin”; measuring 49.53 mm (w) x 49.88 mm (h); weighing 32.5 grams. Accompanied by its case of issue; constructed of heavy pressed cardstock, with a red faux leather (leatherette) exterior, with a golden national eagle embossed on the exterior; with a lined interior, embossed “Deutscher Adlerorden II. Klasse mit Schwertern), with a recessed medal bed, a fully intact interior fabric hinge cover, a functional clasp, and a functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 105 mm (w) x 106 mm (h); in better than extremely fine condition.
