An Early Luftwaffe Observer’s Badge by Juncker
Two-piece construction; a silvered tombac oval wreath with laurel leaves towards the left side of the badge, and oak leaves towards the right side of the badge, separated by three small ribbon-like loops towards the bottom, with a large patinated eagle with spread-out wings superimposed on the badge, appearing as if it was attacking the mobile swastika located near the bottom of the badge; two rivets on the reverse (slightly loose); the vertical pinback missing, but its hinge and catch mostly preserved; exhibiting a very worn Juncker maker mark; measuring 52.19 mm x 54.23 mm; weighing 49.2 grams; better than fine condition.
