A Luftwaffe Flak Badge, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, topped by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central Flak 88 with its barrel raised and extending beyond the edge of the wreath, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Wilhelm Hobacher, Vienna, measuring 47.47 mm (w) x 64.83 mm (h), weighing 37.9 grams, with evidence of re-application of the silver finish, in near extremely fine condition; accompanied by its award document, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to “OBERGEFREITER FRIEDRICH GOTTHARDT” of 3./Flakregiment 36, issued at divisional headquarters on 5 November 1942, featuring the handwritten signature of Generalmajor Richard Reimann (Knight’s Cross, 3 April 1943, measuring 144 mm (w) x 202 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition; also accompanied by a document for a Black Grade Wound Badge, named to Gotthardt as an Obergefreiter of 3./Gem.Flakabteilung I./36 (Mot.), issued at company headquarters on 10 June 1943 for a single wound suffered on 7 June 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of an unconfirmed Oberleutnant and stand-in commander, with a central folding crease evident, 148 mm (w) x 208 mm (h), with a central folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition.
