A Model 1933 SS Service Dagger by SS 807/36 RZM - The dagger measures approximately 372 mm in length with the scabbard; the blade of this SS Dagger, with "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" deeply etched on the blade, exhibits beautiful crossgraining, with the usual in and out runner marks, with sharp edges and a very sharp tip, measuring approximately 220 mm in length and rating extremely fine. It is engraved on the reverse ricasso SS 807/36 RZM. Fittings on the crossguards are nickel plated, exhibiting moderate contact marks and wear. Ebony black colored grip exhibits light contact marks, no chipping to wood. The embedded aluminum eagle rates extremely fine. The SS insignia also exhibits very light contact, also rating extremely fine.The black painted scabbard body has a glossy finish, it is magnetic, straight, exhibiting light contact and is free of dents; the chape and locket held firmly in place via two screws each, in fine condition; the ring is attached to the locket, together with an original leather dagger hanger strap, with buckle and functioning clip, and is maker marked RZM M5/71 OLC; wear and slight crazing evident in the leather, in good condition. Overall, this dagger rates better then very fine.
