Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Germany, SS. A Model 1933 RZM-Marked SS Enlisted Dagger

(SS Dolch). Model 1933 SS enlisted dagger, measuring 375 mm in length when inserted into the scabbard. The dagger features a 220 mm-long nickel-plated magnetic metal blade, the obverse of which bears an acid-etched inscription of “MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE” (“MY HONOUR IS LOYALTY”), while the reverse ricasso has an acid-etched Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “1054/38” for an as-of-yet unidentified manufacturer, along with a SS logo. The tip of the blade presents in a sharpened condition, while the edge are semi-sharpened. The blade is set securely into the upper crossguard, itself constructed of nickel-plated metal and bearing four notches at the top and four on the bottom. The crossguard transitions into a black-painted wooden handle, the obverse of which bears an inset metallic German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 25 mm (w) x 15 mm (h), with an inset SS logo measuring 9 mm in diameter. The dagger is completed with a nickel-plated pommel, similarly bearing eight notches, held together by a magnetic metal nut. It is accompanied by its original scabbard, constructed of black-painted magnetic metal. The tip features a nickel-plated adornment held in place by dual rivets, while the throat, of identical construction, is also held in place by dual rivets and retains a functional spring catch for secure storage of the dagger. The throat also bears a magnetic metal loop with an adjustable black leather strap and magnetic metal buckle, in turn connected to a functional magnetic metal spring clip and leather belt loop. The clip is marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “M5/8”, along with the logo of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid. The blade demonstrates some running marks, and there is additional scratching and tarnishing of the metallic features, along with some loosening of the dagger. It is in an otherwise very fine condition.
