What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Twenty-Two Percent (22%) of the Hammer Price

A Mint First Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Eickhorn; Prime Example Consignment 16

A First Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Carl Eickhorn - This is perhaps the best example of the 1st pattern eMedals has offered. It rates in very near mint condition. In aluminum 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger produced by Eickhorn; the hilt mounts have a nice satin finish throughout and are still in excellent condition;  the two sunwheel swastikas are in perfect condition having 100% of the original gilt intact. The crossguard sunwheels are in excellent condition throughout, and also have 100% gilt intact. The crossguard arms are in excellent condition with their sloping three segments, no scratches or dents. The grip is constructed of a carved wood base and is covered with blue Moroccan leather, showing no use. The grip is tightly wrapped with twisted wire. The scabbard shell is straight throughout; this shell has matching blue Moroccan leather having fine graining throughout, no rips or damages, nearly untouched. The scabbard mounts are a matching satin aluminum and without dents or heavy scratches, exhibiting very light use; these mounts are retained by flat head flush mount screws in the sides. The blade is nice and bright, having fine quality nickel plated surfaces, with usual runner marks, may have been slightly polished, thus in extremely fine condition. Original washer intact. The aluminum chain has lost is plating; the aluminum snap clip is marked, “Ges. Gesch.” and also in a diamond below is the initials of the producing firm - “OLC”. Overall this dagger grades at very near mint. One of the best examples offered and a prime example.
