(Schafzucht Verdienstmedaille mit Etui). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central Reichsnährstand (RNST) insignia, flanked by a date of “1942”, above an etched dedication of “FRANZ COURTH, VETTWEIß”, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTE UM DIE DEUTSCHE SCAHFZUCT” (“FOR MERIT IN GERMAN SHEEP BREEDING”), the reverse with dual sets of butterfly prongs, unmarked, measuring 72 mm in diameter, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux maroon leather exterior, the interior with a maroon velvet lid liner and depressed medal bed, opening with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release and dual functional metal hinges, unmarked, measuring 98 mm (w) x 98 mm (l) x 30 mm (h), age-appropriate tarnishing and material fatigue are evident to the medal and case, respectively, in overall better than very fine condition.
